1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior 6 Attachment(s)
I thought 34 fans may appreciate the untouched original interior in my 29K mile Standard Coupe.

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior VERY nice!;)

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior I have a USA 33 standard phaeton (extremely low production, less than 300) Still has original top (with many layers of hard tar) and the original door panels that are black waterproof like cardboard with some stitching under the 50s dinette set vinyl over them some PO put on. Previous owner before me went through all the mechanical, electrical, brakes, fuel systems but didn't touch the body.
Fun looking at the original stuff. |

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior Very Nice! Is the car early production? Do the windows move rearward for venting? Like to see more photos!

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior How about pictures of the whole car?

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior That tiny little heater is great. Is it hot air?
I have been driving my '34 around with the floor boards exposed while working on it and the big round hole above the transmission puts out an amazing amount of heat into the cabin, plenty for a 40*F morning drive. |
Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior Was this Don Chastain's old car?

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior Mike I bought it from Don Chasteen about 5 or 6 years ago. Have you seen it in person?

Here it is, never been taken apart or modified, just a nice original car.

Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior I'll bet that it spent most of it's early life with seat covers. My '51 had seat covers (them old woven straw things) on it when I got it, and I was pleased to see very nice original upholstery underneath them. I immediately replaced them with a new set. It must be a compulsion for older folks, but doesn't make much sense. It's like refraining from screwing your girlfriend so her next boyfriend can have a virgin.

I'd surely have to say it's one of the, if not the best unrestored 34 Coupe out there. A standard 33-34 coupe is a bucket lister car for me. |
Re: 1934 Standard Coupe Original Interior Your '34 Standard coupe interior is exactly the same as my original not-restored '33 Deluxe 3W coupe!
I think that there were 3 available materials for Early Ford V8 interiors. All '33 3w coupes were Deluxe; the only Ford model that was strictly Deluxe from the factory! Replies welcomed! |
