Sun Distributor Machine Strobe
 

I have a late 40s early 50s Sun Dist machine that I purchased in the 1970s the strobe is getting weak and will only flash at higher RPMs, every thing else works as it should. Suggestions for repair.

Paramount in Michigan has an LED upgrade kit of like the 404, 504 Sun Machines, I upgraded my 504.

I have a Sun 680 that the strobe was not working and I got a capacitor and diode kit from Paramount and that fixed it.

suggest that you take a look at the u-tube video by "Opera", very interesting modifications. Dead nuts accurate.l've posted this info before, no one seemed interested, here's the link to one of his videos, https://youtu.be/W7rXdZVCz1Q

Paramount had the parts to get mine working. A good distributor machine is so nice to dial in the points and check vacuum advance/adjust advance springs.
