Glass for a 1937 ford 1 1/2 ton truck can anyone advise me if all the glass out out of a 1937 ford pickup will go into a 1937 ford 1 1/2 ton truck? or any others that will work.
I have been told that the rear window glass is the same is that so. Thanks in advance Granny |
Re: Glass for a 1937 ford 1 1/2 ton truck The pickup and truck glass should be the same for 1937 cabs.
The glass for pickup and trucks is the same for each year. You can also use glass from different year pickups and trucks. I think the back window glass is the same from 1935 through 1939 pickups and trucks. The door glass should be the same for 1935-1937 (not positive). The windshield glass may be unique to 1937. There are reproduction glass companies such as Peninsula (Sanders) who can tell you specifically as they have all of the Ford drawings and part numbers to make reproductions. |
Re: Glass for a 1937 ford 1 1/2 ton truck Thanks Model51 for your information.
Do you have a email address for the the glass company you mentioned so I can check with them before as I am an Aussie living down under. |
Re: Glass for a 1937 ford 1 1/2 ton truck This guy cut the windshield and door glass for my '39 p/u from patterns. He should be able to verify for sure if the p/u and big truck use the same glass. It might take a while for him to respond via email but he knows his stuff and he is a hot rodder as well.

The 1937 pickup windshield glass carried forward to 1939 in both trucks and cars. |
