heater motor and blower 1949 F3

Looking for a heater motor, blower(squirrel cage) and housing for a 1949 f3 pickkup. Does anyone know of any sources for any of these parts? The blower motor can be 6v or 12v.
Thanks in advance.
Also have a 1929 model a roadster pickup for sale. It is disassembled and in rough shape. Original motor.

Might help to know if the heater is Ford factory or aftermarket.

Yes it is the factory heater. the blower motor is mounted in the fender well therefore it is very rusted out.

The parts book shows two motors for the fresh air heater, 80C-18527-A and 8C-18527-B don't know what the difference is. Dennis Carpenter show a universal motor. https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/car...volt-universal

@excalibur, There is a guy on the FTE Forum (48-56 section) that specializes in restoring heaters. Both Ford and Magic Air. He goes on an annual parts safari to salvage yards full of old vehicles. His user name is firstrider

I have no idea what his prices are but, he does a great job restoring them. I think he sells parts as well. He usually takes requests for parts before he leaves on safari too.

Good luck with your search!
Scott in AZ.

That would be Denny Dahle in Florida. Reach him at [email protected].

If the troble is just the elec motor, a local/regional electric repair shop should be able to rejuvinate it.

Re: heater motor and blower 1949 F3

It was definitely not one Of Ford's better ideas to have a heater motor put under the fender.
I had a 48 Ford years ago with the same pbm. I went to junk yards to get a new motor and had a tin man remake an entirely new housing for it. He did an excellent job. terry
