Ford Service Shop opens in Michigan

Hi there fellow Ford lovers.

Seamus Hnat here...After nearly 10 years servicing and restoring some of the worlds finest cars at Stahls Auto Collection, I am excited to announce that I'm now opening up my home shop for full-time service to everyone in the hobby and those that we hope to attract to this wonderful hobby too! Instead of working for one client, I'm now available to take on a variety of projects and look forward to working with more of you.

I have been working on fellow T members cars and my own for the past 12 years. I have roundtripped my 1929 Ford A Roadster 7,500 miles in 6 months, and my 1914 Ford T Touring 17,000 miles over the course of a decade.

Often times people spend thousands restoring their car and it still doesn't run right and the steering is outta-whack, but look no further! I can finish your car. Dialing-in and precision tuning cars for the last 10+ years. Highly skilled in carburetion and ignition problems.

I have experience and tooling to work on Ford Model Ts & As & V8 cars from front to back.

Offering full service work, some restoration, consulting, and buy/sell for all antique and vintage Fords. I can handle odd ball cars like Delahaye, Bentley, Austin, Chevys, MGs, Corvairs, and even steam cars.I graduated from the Auto Restoration program at McPherson College in 2018.
Located near Richmond, Michigan, about 20 minutes southwest of Port Huron.

Now we need vendors to make discontinued parts like '30 s.s. cowl bands. United Pacific makes one for '32, perhaps enough interest would convince them to produce them.

Best of luck in your new endeavor. The old / vintage/ exotic car community surely needs your kind of dedication and expertise.

I think this is a prime case of there are plenty of original cowl bands out there that are candidates for restoration.

Ernie, you are correct in saying the hobby is not without plenty of young talent to keep the hobby alive.

Yes, absolutely very good news!
Mike Rowe from 'Dirty Jobs' would be the loudest supporter of you, he keeps emphasizing the trades not college and he is 110% spot-on. We have enough Art History and Liberal Arts degree holders out there who are basically worthless to society.

THIS shop serves a needed and wanted purpose!

Oh the irony, Mike Rowe is a college graduate in communications. A degree that likely led to his success.

Trades and colleges both have a relevant place in society.
