Got a question regarding a T

Hello Y'all. i would like to ask the T crowd for a consensus on a model T. I am on the hunt for a T and know the exact year and body style i want. i found one and i can give all the specs on it. I want the general opinion: is the price fair for what it is and do you think the car matches the description? i think so but I want opinions. I am looking at a 1925 T coupe. the seller wants 12.9K for it. the serial number is 11902454 which is a June 25 number so i'm told. it looks great and has had a full wiring overhaul, coils rebuilt by Ron Patterson, new plugs and runs and drives. Y'all like it? because i sure do.

Buy it. It looks like someone liked it a lot.

Good to see that people are thinking the same thing I am. I think it's a bargain especially considering the fact that it's all been done. only things i'd add are a Ford Faithful and a stoplight switch so people can see i'm stopping. both can be installed without any permanent modifications which is important to me.

For that kind of money, I would like to see major power train receipts. Engine & transmission rebuild is in the 5-7 K range.

I'm not too worried about the engine or transmission since I work on these cars a lot, althought it is mostly A's I have worked on several T's I got babbitting tools and a line boring machine. I've overhauled engine and transmissions before. the seller which is a dealer in Davenport Iowa bought the T from the last owner at an estate sell and had a T mechanic go over it and make sure nothing needed fixing up. they told me that the transmission is in great shape and so is the engine.

To purchase and restore any closed cab model T is a small fortune now days. I'd guarantee that it would be a lot more money than that. Models Ts are less expensive than most cars just due to the fact that they have such a large following but nothing would cost less money to maintain in good condition with regular use.
