If I’m not mistaken, those dinner trays were used at the Ford Trade School back in the day.

And it is highly polished.
The ones I have would be called satin finish.

If that was local to me, I'd snag it right up.

I’m sure that most if not all veterans will have fond? memories of food trays not much different than that one.

I'm interested. I have sent you a pm. Consider it sold, but let me know.

Lawson, go back to the original post. It's not his, it's on Craigslist. Follow the link he posted. Good luck!

I love that thing. I see two good uses. 1) Carb rebuilds. I can even imagine where each grouping of parts go. 2) With its low profile my wife slides my
( now cold) dinner under my shop door.

Forks, spoons, coffee cups, dinner ware. Believe from Fords cafeteria, all with script.

That is cool! 78 years old and never saw one. Would love to have one for my work bench. To hold nuts, bolts, junk and my coffee.

My wife and I were at the Ford and Mercury Restorers Club meet in Belleville, MI years ago and several of the local venders had them for sale. One of the friends of mine from my trips up there gave me one. I used to enjoy going up there, I figured if you couldn't find a Ford part in Detroit, where are you going to find one? They would often have what they called lunchbox parts for sale. One year I got lucky and found a NOS 37 pickup map light for $15.They usually had a lot of the tool check items in addition to the kinds of things you find at typical swap meets.

I have one of those trays. The story I heard years ago was that they were used in the cafeteria at one of the Ford factories. The Rouge possibly?

I do not have a tray but several pieces of silverware as well as a bunch of various dishes most of which I purchased from a vendor at Hershey in past years.
