Snap-On steering wheel puller on Ebay- not mine

Snap-On steering wheel puller set for sale on Ebay. This is not mine, but I have the same tool. Works very well and better than the KR Wilson version.

Good luck if you need it.

Kinda interesting Tim. Last month I bought a similar kit for half the price on a best offer. I paid for it and the next day my money was refunded. The seller said he could not find it. He was able to take the pictures but then lost it LOL! All kinds of dishonest sellers there.

I had a similar experience just last week. Guy (ebay) told me my address was "no good". Yet he listed it again, sold it "buy it now" for a lot more than I'd fairly won the item for.
Honesty and ethics are not his virtues.

It’s been awhile since I bought something on eBay…..but don’t they have some type of dispute resolution system?….although probably not worth your time and effort….sounds like the other buyer offered him more after the auction closed….Ive heard eBay sellers state that eBay is all about satisfying the buyer….I guess situations like this are what caused it……Mark

Ebay has changed through the past ten years or so quite radically. Ebay is seemingly all about making sales. Period. Sales = profit.
There are some sellers that have a feedback rating of 75% and below. Common sense tells me that they should be banned. Nope, the money keeps rolling to ebay.
There are numerous reasons I like ebay. The number one reason being the access to so many things that otherwise would never be found.

I cannot help but wonder what this tool cost 50-80 years ago. The 2 on eb are priced at 350 and 500. If you just want it for your Ford it is quite easy to make a tool to do the job well. It does not need to be pretty, just functional.

I have one of those, I slip pieces of rubber hose on the ends where it comes in contact with the Bakelite on Early Ford wheels, so it won't crack them or leave any marks. It works great! You need it because there are no holes in the steering wheel hub that will take the bolts for a modern steering wheel puller.

I think I paid $100 for mine. The attachment designed for Ford steering wheels already comes with rubber hose already on the "forks".

I had the same thing (basically) happen to me on a car tag.....I won the bid and about a week later got a refund and a message saying they could not find the tag!!! YET they had it posted, ran the auction for a week, it was a "museum" that was selling the tag......I took a picture of it to have as reference to make sure it didn't "re-appear" for sale later!!!!

That is an interesting set.

I had roughly the opposite happen to me on Ebay one. I had an NOS blower motor (for a 60's Pontiac). Put it on Ebay with a reasonable starting price. Had 2 people bidding on it. It sold and the high bidder said I had somehow bid it up and he backed out. Second highest ghosted me. I relisted it about 2 months later and person 1 bought it for about what he bid the first time. I assumed he would try to claim poor shipping so I took a bunch of photos. He didn't and left good feedback. Go figure.
