1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell 6 Attachment(s)
We have what I think is a 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5 Window sitting outside on our property in New England. Was owned by my wife’s great-grandad.
It’s rusty and does have a number of bullet holes. Photos attached. Shell only. No doors or pieces available other than the shell unfortunately. Would rather it be restored by someone rather than see it continue to degrade. Any thoughts on value? Thanks |
Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Cool yard art.

Sad ending for a neat old 1934 Ford Five Window Coupe. |
Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Due to it's condition, the value is low. Probably in the $ 500-1,000 range. Although it is rough, it can be saved, though it will require a lot of work and talent. I don't know where you are located, but someone in New England would be happy to get it.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Someone will use the back half mated to the back of a sedan to make it live again

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Not much beyond the current scrap value of steel less the cost of extricating it from its current location. You waited 25 years too long before asking, given its location.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Perfect jalopy material. I sold my worse, but driving jalopy to Germany $8K + shp, and it's racing today on their vintage dirt tracks. Newc

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell I agree with the $1,000 price. Put it in the classifieds and it will be sold in a week.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell $100 max.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Tetanus Shots?

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell I really wish you guys who say it’s worth scrap price had a back grove that I could help you clear out! You are truly out of the loop on 34 coupe prices.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell There is certainly some value there but not necessarily with the body as a whole. The right rear quarter looks to be decent and possibly the dash. Can't tell on the cowl, the photo doesn't show much. The deck lid might be a candidate for re skinning and parts of the A and B column and rear top components would be in demand for someone de-chopping a five window.

you can buy one with a title already restored for less than what it will cost to restore that rusty speciman. |
Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell My thought is that it might be useful to someone who is patching together another in like condition. IF you look at the "before" picture of my 34 coupe you would probably walk past it if you saw it in person in that condition. You would have to love doing metalwork. Check out the "before" picture in my "new car to me" album. My friend Jim literally dug this car out of the ground and metal worked it back into what you see today. It is not a bondo queen. Jim saved a car that wouldn't have been a candidate for the concourse.
I see that New England coupe as a parts donor. |
Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Some of you are funny, some are just ignoring reality. Lots of guys will piece an old Ford body together, even if there are nice ones for sale. I’m one of them. I love a challenge. My brothers and I put a Model A coupe body together from 13 different sources. Just the body. My current project has 7 different donors in just the body.
The OP could advertise this coupe for whatever he wants ($1,000 or more), and he can always lower the price. But it’s harder to go up. |
Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell And, I do greatly value Mr. Rehor’s and Mr. Kubarth’s opinion on restoring old Fords. I just think they are a bit higher class than the scrounger that would love to buy this coupe.

Re: 1934 Ford Deluxe Coupe 5W - Rusty Shell Again- jalopy material easy. I have some doors-even 4dr fronts can work. My jalopy was just a skin on the roll bar structure. Newc
