Thought I'd share this pic of this 32 V8 std tudor off the auction site and notice the 2 pc adj spoke 16" wheels. There is a wheel like them also on the auction site.I believe they were Firestone acc wheels. RH tailite on the car also.

Happy Thanksgiving to all tho not celebrated here.

Yes, Firestones. Very rare nowadays. Even K-H adjustables are rare nowadays.

Is the lock ring on the inside? I've only had one inside lock ring, an 18" cast hub that nobody was ever able to identify. Motor wheel we thought...Its gone now from my auction

Yes on the inside with a notch on the inner edge and locks in place on the rim when tube is inflated in the tire.I had a pair of artillery wheels with a similar system. The lock ring had 2 "C" notches for easy removal so tire and tube would slip onto the rim.

There is a problem with the design of those Firestone wheels; the outer flange on the hub does not seat on the brakedrum like proper Ford wire wheels do...this leads to the wheel flexing, ultimately causing the area around the lug holes to crack.

Brian,Here is a pic of the back surface. It should sit correctly on a 32-35 drum since they(the drums) have the necessary support tab built in.

'Should', but they don't! Mount one on a drum and you'll see what I mean, you'll be able to insert about a 1/8" feeler gauge around that outer lip.
