what is the closest you need the clutch fingers to be .
I have a 10in and they are about .010 difference in the three fingers

I believe that is a very good distance, I had one that was a lot further out and went through a bunch of shimming to get it to within .010. The clutch has performed flawlessly since then. As a matter of fact, I had the car out today for the first time in a week or two and was thinking to myself how well the clutch works.

Thank you very much guys,
I was concerned , but its an old recoed FW one and the finger adjusting screws were welded ,
I will use it and hopefully its will be OK,
