Heater cors

Does anyone know a source for new cores for 46-48 Ford passenger car heaters.
Thanks, Rick

If you have a junk one these guys can make one. Maybe even without a sample. Worth a phone call. IMO

If you have the old one, any decent radiator shop in your area can make one.

To add what Kube stated, a local radiator shop found almost an exact replacement of my '40s heater core in their parts catalog, requiring very minor work for a perfect fit.

Thanks, problem, is all the good shops that I knew our gone, young guys aren’t getting into that business.
I appreciation all the input & the suggestions.

Re: Heater cors

Even the "young guys" can handle this with ease. They remove the tanks (simple), measure the core (simple), order a new core (simple and reinstall the tanks (simple).

I had a bad honeycomb style core and couldn't find anyone that would/could repair it. Couldn't find a suitable core to modify. Contacted Brassworks and was able to have them make up a new one. Very nice piece. I highly recommend them.

Re: Heater cors

When I needed a heater core for my '54 Ranch Wagon I wanted mine recored. Didn't want a cheap repop. The radiator shop I use couldn't source a listing for an exact replacement core but did find a complete unit for a different application with a compatible sized core. They installed that core in my old tanks no problem. Cost a bit more than an off shore repop but it was worth it IMO.
