Claybourne stand. One of the best.

I agree with Tim, I would love to have one when it comes time to assemble my engine. Instead I think I will get a Stumpy’s adapter and use my modern engine stand.

I'm retiring in little over a years' time. High on my "to do" list when I actually have time do work on stuff is to make a stand similar to the Clayborne.

I have also thought about building a stand similar to a Claiborne and it looks like the engine adapter pieces would be the most difficult to duplicate. Someone on here was considering recreating the adapter pieces, but I don’t know if he had enough interest to move forward with that project. Good luck with your project.

Is that a flathead engine adapter? Sure doesn't look like the one on mine.

I've always wanted a Clayborn stand but haven't found one with the flathead adapters. I have three of the KRW stands, every one of them are missing their bases. One I bolted to the garage floor and another one I built a base for it out of some scrap steel I had. Then my dad died, and I moved all his Ford stuff into my garage. Now I can't see the floor like in these old photos. What a mess of stuff (good stuff), I need to organize it all. 2400 sf garage and I can't even walk through it anymore. I was working on sorting dad's stuff when I had the stroke.

Flathead Fever...Nice looking base that you made. I had an opportunity to buy a KR Wilson stand with the rolling base several years ago, so I bought it along with the larger flathead adapter and another adapter as well as a KRW brake/clutch rebuilding machine. The trays at the bottom of the base you made is a nice feature. Nice work.

So I'm guessing the one I posted isn't complete?

It looks complete for some engine, but I am not sure what engine the adapters fit.

Yes it is complete and fits pre 49 Ford flathead. Will fit 49-53 with a bell housing extension.
The adapters may not be original but look great and should work well. I have 2 of these and 2 KRW. THE Clayborne are my favorites.

Still on FB. Looks like the price has been reduced. Been listed for 6 weeks.

I sold this stand here on Fordbarn awhile back. The front and rear mounts are a casting.

Having not researched the subject I would venture that the price is most likely reasonable, otherwise Tim '51504bat' would not have brought it to our attention. If this stand were in my neighborhood I would be tempted.
