Help needed with taillight stand id I got this taillight stand, was told for a '36, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Anyone an idea what year it is? Maybe not even Ford??

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id 34 maybe
|
Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Definitely not '35 or '36 Ford.
|
Re: Help needed with taillight stand id I'd go further; not Ford. One end is like the '37 passenger car brackets, but the other end is unique.

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Check with the wonderful people at The Filling Station, Lebanon OR. They are early Chevy experts and might be able to identify it or rule out Chevy.

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Did you look inside of the tail light stand for a part number ? If there is a part number, let us know, and we may be able to identify the tail light stand for you.

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Thanks for the replies. I cleaned the bracket and indeed a part nr. is stamped inside. 78-F-13471.
A quick search tells me 1937 Ford, but not exactly clear which model. I've also never seen a letter in the middle of the part nr. Only 78-13471 shows up, without the F.[emoji848] Anyone an idea? Re: Help needed with taillight stand id 78- 13471 is 37 tail light bracket LH for 37 Ford, F denotes 'export/ RHD, why RHD tail light stalks would be different I do not know....
|
Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Ok, thanks. Export and RHD or 'or'? I got it here in The Netherlands, so export might be right. We do drive left side though.[emoji16]

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Australian 37's have an early? style tail lamp which explains the different shape at the lamp mounting end.

Tail Lights were not the only differences in Australian RHD 1937 Fords. Part way through the model year, Ford Australia started painting the Grilles body colour and adding chrome strips. Check out this picture of Early & Late Australian 1937 Ford Grilles |

Re: Help needed with taillight stand id Thanks a lot everyone. So it's for Australian 37s only? Very weird how that ended up in The Netherlands....[emoji848]
