My Junker got a Dearborn 1 Attachment(s)
My Dad always called my Cars JUNKER's. So that stuck. I would drag a old car home that I got for a few dollars to part out and Dad would say NOT IN THE FRONT YARD. Dam place looks like a junkyard. He tell Mom I am going to kill him. The the Cops came around and they got on my case. I think Dad put them up to that. I got even with them. I put a quart of oil in there gas tank.I never laugh so hard watching them going down the road. Everybody called that car Smoky. Anyway that why I call my cars Junker's. It does make me think about the old days. He also say that kid is not mimd. Maybe he will run off, think?

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn Nice junker. Your youth sounds familiar, at age 15 I could not understand why the neighbors would call the cops on me for having a car up on its side to get the transmission out! I knew rite then I needed a life in the country!

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn I was really glad to see it as I think a 32 3W is a holy grail car! My first national meet I went to. I thought a majority of the cars would be Dearborn cars, probably the opposite in truth. Judged for the first time. After that I can tell it's very difficult to get a car to that level.

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn A friend of mine's father bought a "32 Ford i the 50's but never got it on the road. His wife said get rid of it so every day when he came home he chopped a piece off the car with an ax until the car was completely gone!

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn I would have used the axe for...well, never mind

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn I owe everything to Dave Rehor helping me getting the 32 where its at. I love every minute of it, I know he has help others in restoring there cars also. I will never forget him. I only talk to Dave one time in person and for just a few minutes. The internet is where we talk to each other. Look how the internet has done for the Hobby. I am going to N. Y. and hope to sit down and talk to Dave in person about his Travel when working at Ford. I know that a great story also. I have the highest respect for Dave to what he has done for the Hobby. I did get to go to his shop and see how the Master worked there. Something to see. One thing for sure I will never forget Dave.

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn 1 Attachment(s)
Congrats. I was denied an award because I left the concourse 45 early due to my prostate issues. Left a bad taste in my mouth, took the fun out of driving my ‘33 400 miles rt to the show.

Re: My Junker got a Dearborn Quote:
The rules are quite clear in that the owner, or a representative must be present during judging. I am not aware of any exceptions. Or did you leave the concourse prior to the cars being excused from the field? The rules are quite clear on that as well. So, what am I missing? |
