I’m new here but been on the HAMB a long time. Have several projects currently working on. Mostly hot rod related. One is a 1930 model A Sport Coupe with 32 block and miller overhead conversion. Latest project is a 27 T touring with a flathead going in it on a model a frame.

Welcome aboard! This is a great site. I have never put a flatty 8 in a model A w/a stock frame. Is boxing it necessary, or would it be ok w/a stock 85-100 hp. engine? - F F

Did one years ago and no need to box the frame, but don't use the Model A rear end. Don't ask me how I know.

Yeah, I wouldn't think that would be a good idea! - F F

Welcome to the Barn,
My 1st car was a 30 model A 4 door that I put a 59 series engine in, started working on it when I was 12, was driving it at 16. At that point I HAD to replace the model A rear end with a 40. Definitely model A, a weak sister!
