I hate hearing about losing our friends ..... hoping you'll rest peacefully, Al! Pictured BELOW is Al's rendition of a passenger car variety '36 pick-up. Appropriately, that is our own "KiWi Tony" leaning on Al's unique and well-done pick-up. Coop https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/attac...1&d=1278435661 |

Hope you enjoyed my barn find hunters on Hagertys YouTube. |
Re: Hamtown Al Quote:
Tony ..... That Hagerty piece was a GREAT video. Hell, I had to watch it twice. The Coopman . |

Well there ya go, how’s that for the most tasteless thread hijack ever? |
Re: Hamtown Al Quote:
I'm sorry! I looked everywhere on the internet for YOUR picture posing with Al's masterful pick-up creation. You must not have been included for that photo session. Coop . |

Re: Hamtown Al Sorry to hear about Hamtown Al.
I remember his pickup with the passenger car sheetmetal. When I saw his name I realised I had not seen him post for a while. RIP Al. |

Re: Hamtown Al R.I.P. AL

Re: Hamtown Al I never met the man but I sure enjoyed his comments. R.I.P. Al.

Re: Hamtown Al RIP Al - he lives right across the river from me and he was one of the first car people I met when I moved to VA in ‘95. He eventually bought my red 40 ford pickup and we had many other dealings over the years. A good friend, he was always one to help out abd be a part of the solution kinda guy. We went out to the LA Roadster Show together with a group of VA guys in ‘16. As I drove my avatar out there at 70-85 mph everyone always asked what kind of flathead I was using and Al always responded with a phrase another Va rodder coined, “ a really good one!” - you will be missed my friend and I wish you God’s speed ….

Re: Hamtown Al RIP Al. He was an interesting guy and I always read his postings. He handed out some good information.

The reason I mentioned the video to Coopman is because I spoke about Al in it. It’s as simple as that. In no way would I ever be so disrespectful under these circumstances no matter what anyone thinks. Sorry for any distraction from the reason for this thread. Tony. |
