Trainguy

From his daughter's post on his Facebook page it looks like we've lost Phil Myers from Lehighton PA.. Just a super guy. Phil had some early stuff like a curved dash Oldsmobile,1908 REO,a Case car, and Franklins. His flathead cars that I remember were a 1936 Phaeton,1941 Ford station wagon, 1941 Dearborn coupe, 1946 convertible, 1946 Mercury convertible with a built engine Walt Dupont did and a Columbia rear end, and a 1951 convertible. I asked him if he had the stock engine in the Phaeton. His answer was " I wouldn't have one of those tea kettles in there, it's got a 59 AB". When they had the driving tour I didn't have my 48 yet. He told me to just come up with and take one of his cars. I couldn't get out of work to take him up on it and really regret it now. He had one of the nicest garages I've ever seen. Godspeed Phil...

So sorry to hear this and my condolences to his family. I was privileged to see him and shoot the breeze about old cars and toy trains at a couple of the Barner’s Bashes hosted by Vic Piano.

Our condolence to your friends family. What a collection of cars!
I am sure he will be missed in the antique auto community.

Regards,
Chris

I also got the pleasure of meeting Phil at one of the “Barners Bashes” in FL. Spent the weekend riding in his car. Truly a great guy! Condolences to his family.....Mark
