34 PU New project from an estate- all apart 4 Attachment(s)
Even found a photo of the original 'Hot Rod'. WHY would this previous owner take it apart? New engine is full of water?. Today with good weather painted chassis with gloss black urethene [single stage fast dry]. Look at the hydraulic master set up! Winter project now. When I saw the grill, I had to buy it. Newc

Found photo of the Original 'Hot Rod' . Lots of chrome and 'STACKS' exhaust! Washington State, anyone remember this truck? Have the 'Stacks', should use again? Very Period! Why would a fellow take this apart, and scatter the parts? I'd just drive it, now it's a project. Can't quite read the plate. Newc

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart Dump the stacks . . . they always look cheesy to me. I liked them when I was about 13 . . . now, not so much.

Agree....that would be a sano rig sans stacks! Coop . |
Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart Try contacting Al Drake in Portland. Also try posting on the HAMB.
The stacks might be cheesy... but will set the truck apart from the "velveeta" trucks you would otherwise see! |
Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart I must still be about 13, because I like the chrome stacks. I think they fit the character with the chrome grill shell and later front bumper. It has a great 50's shop truck vibe.

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart If we are voting I vote for just like the photo! Stacks are like bellbottoms out of style but I still like them!

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart I like the stacks and Im going to put them on my 41 Tonner when I get to that part.

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart plates look like "HP 9930" to me, good luck with it.

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart Not big on the stacks, but sure as heck like the look of bed pipes.

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart Pretty sure I saw that truck at the Nationals in Yakama in the eighties (84/85) . but it had wires on it. I loved the stacks because it was done so cleanly. At the time I had a 36 Dodge pickup so the owner and I talked a bit .

Re: 34 PU New project from an estate- all apart I like the way it is in the picture also. Is the grille tilted back?…I'm not big on stacks but a healthy Flathead would sound real nice, coming out of up there!……. Mark
