Miniature flathead 4-cylinder

I just came across this Youtube video today, a working model of a flathead 4. The arrangement is very close to our Model A engine. Inspired by it, perhaps?

All you need now is a miniature Model A to put it in and some Ken and Barbie dolls to ride in the car.

There was an actual Model A engine model done several years ago.

Look at "https://craftsmanshipmuseum.com"; your jaw will drop looking at the small, running items they have. They're located in Carlsbad, California. Drive Your "A"!

This is on 'craigslist' Boston....1/4 scale A engine that runs. It better for the $9900 asking price!

Re: Miniature flathead 4-cylinder

Slatgrille, that engine was built years ago by Ed Rogers of Saugus, Mass. He also had scratch-built a Ford flathead V-8 that ran and several small radial airplane engines. That man was a real wizard with machines. We miss him at the car shows since he passed recently. I don't know who bought his "toys" but it looks like the owner doesn't really want to see it sold I guess. Ed would bring the little "A" engine to shows and run it for folks.

That is very cool....what an intelligent man he must have been. Far too many of these knowledgeable people in the 'machinery' world have passed on. Unless a younger person apprenticed with them, the mechanical aspect of keeping 'old' machinery alive is lost forever. : (
