Miniature flathead 4-cylinder I just came across this Youtube video today, a working model of a flathead 4. The arrangement is very close to our Model A engine. Inspired by it, perhaps?

Re: Miniature flathead 4-cylinder All you need now is a miniature Model A to put it in and some Ken and Barbie dolls to ride in the car.

Re: Miniature flathead 4-cylinder Look at "https://craftsmanshipmuseum.com"; your jaw will drop looking at the small, running items they have. They're located in Carlsbad, California. Drive Your "A"!

This is on 'craigslist' Boston....1/4 scale A engine that runs. It better for the $9900 asking price!

Re: Miniature flathead 4-cylinder Slatgrille, that engine was built years ago by Ed Rogers of Saugus, Mass. He also had scratch-built a Ford flathead V-8 that ran and several small radial airplane engines. That man was a real wizard with machines. We miss him at the car shows since he passed recently. I don't know who bought his "toys" but it looks like the owner doesn't really want to see it sold I guess. Ed would bring the little "A" engine to shows and run it for folks.

Re: Miniature flathead 4-cylinder That is very cool....what an intelligent man he must have been. Far too many of these knowledgeable people in the 'machinery' world have passed on. Unless a younger person apprenticed with them, the mechanical aspect of keeping 'old' machinery alive is lost forever. : (
