Oil change? I haven't driven my A more than a couple hundred miles in the last ten years, I'm ashamed to say, but I'm thinking I should maybe change the oil anyway. I know it wouldn't hurt, but is it really necessary? I'm using 10/30 HD oil and it looks fresh and new on the dipstick even after running. And I have an oil filter. I suppose the same question goes for the anti-freeze. Advice?

Re: Oil change? JB,
Change out that anti-freeze like immediately ! While the anti-freeze chemistry will last longer, after five years you have lost the most important parts, the anti-corrosion & anti rust features. Most radiators are destroyed by being pugged solid from preventable corrosion. Fresh oil & antifreeze are cheap. jb |
Re: Oil change? I should have mentioned that it's always been in a heated garage, but the points are taken. I will change oil, flush the radiator, and refill. Thanks all,

Re: Oil change? Grease all alemite (zerk) fittings as well. I could go on but
don't want to put you to sleep. :) |
