4 speed + OD on a flathead in a 32. UNCUT K member. Can it be done? New project.

In this video I introduce my new project. I am going to fit a Volvo M410 transmission with overdrive in my 1932 Ford. The one stipulation is that I don't want to cut the original K member. It will be a long series, but hopefully a fun one to follow. So sit back and join me for part 1. Thanks for joining me once again in Mart's Garage.

2 Attachment(s)
Attachment 494811

Attachment 494812Mart, My A/V8 has a saginaw 4speed with a borg warner planetary overdrive. The o/d is actuated by a 12 volt solenoid like the 40's and 50's fords. The o/d main shaft excepts the 4 speed gears. I made an adapter and used 8ba BellhouseIng , flywheel and pressure plate, GM clutch. Sounds scary but this trans works perfect, 8 forward gears if you split all of them.
