Windshield garnish molding I could use some tips from anyone that has removed the windshield pillar garnish molding on a '29 coupe or tudor. I'm trying to remove mine on my Business Coupe to install new windlace but cannot get the top of the molding to come loose. It appears to be held in place by the metal windshield header panel groove where the upholstery panel slips in. I'm trying not to cause any damage by forcing it.
Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks, Bob/KC |
Re: Windshield garnish molding If you are talking the A pillar trim piece, then you just take out the three screws, undo the windshield hinge bracket and take the dash off and ope the door a bit. It will pop right off. Assuming that is the same on yours as it is on my 4 door.

Re: Windshield garnish molding Brentwood Bob has a good video on restoring a windshield. Might be a Utube but it was helpful for me.
