1936 Ford Pickup Radiator

Can someone clue me in on the original radiator core thickness for a 1936 pickup? The radiator is gone, but mounting bracket is still around. Based on the bracket, this truck had a 3.25" thick core. It's been suggested that these pickups came with a thinner core. Can anyone verify how thick the original radiator core was?

Thanks

Years ago I had my '36 half-ton radiator 'checked out' and top off rodded out just to know the condition. I believe that it was not a thin core. In the '30s radiators were built to survive. After 60 years the core was still good. This was/is an excellent shop.

I brought the gas tank too just to open it up and check it out. They opened it at its original flange seams, cleaned it out just to be sure. Welded back together. Painted exterior black. Brand new tank when they were done w/it. $200. Oceano, CA.

That's my experience.

You're welcome!
