Fasteners for Country Squire molding I just purchased 1957 Country Squire and need "fasteners" to attach the fiber glass wood molding. Where can I get them? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Henry |
Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding Do you have a picture of one? I'd try Restoration Specialties, they have some NOS trim clips, etc. Not too many places cater to the wagons and woodies.

Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding Concourse Parts. They have pictures of them all in their 1957 full size catalog.

Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding If they are a type of screw it would be nice to know. Some of the faux wood trim was held on that way depending on make & model. They sort of look like a small chrome plated carriage bolt head. I don't have any body books for the 57 country squire or I'd look them up.

Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding Quote:
The 49/59 MPC 57 COUNTRY SQUIRE does not show the retainers in ILL, only a PN. |
Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding Seems like a recall a big color picture of them int he back of one of the recent Concourse Parts catalogs. If ya call em, they may be a bale to e-mail the photo of the all to ya. Or perhaps you have one that is in bad shape, that you can send to them...

Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding That's one thing I have noticed about vendor cataloging is their practice of making you go thru the complete catalog to find one item.
The FORD MPC ILL (FINAL ISSUE) shows the fasteners for the 58 but not the 57. One would have to find an early CHASSIS CATALOG. |
Re: Fasteners for Country Squire molding I found this for blind nuts if that is what they used.

Made contact with Tom @ CCROD and he has what I need. Very helpful as well. THANKS for your "tip". His company does a lot of "restoring" woodies. Henry |
