Clutch/Brake Pedal Assembly

Hi Guys, I need help. First time build. 36 roadster brake pedal hits frame when it returns. Don't think this is right. The brake arm only has a M3 on it. The clutch has 48-7520-A2. Are these the right arms? I sur would appreciate any hep you can give me. Thanks in advance

Greetings Everyone. JAS1949 do you have the toe board installed? The clutch and brake pedal stop their upward movement somewhere near/resting on the rubber bumpers mounted under the 1936 drivers side toe board on my car.

A "48-7520-A2" is the correct number for a '35-'36 clutch pedal. The brake should have the number "48-2455" forged upon it. "48-" represents 1935 "first year used'....'36 is same as '35 pedal-wise. "7520" is Ford's identifier for a clutch pedal. Ford's identifier for a brake pedal is "2455". It MAY, or may NOT have an "-A" or "-A2" suffix after the "2455". DD

i have found that laying a straight edge across the flat number pad on the transmission will give you a fairly close example of where the floor boards will end up once installed. good for mock up stuff

The were two brake pedals used in '36 models. Initially, 48-2455 was used and in later production it was replaced by 68-2455-A. This pedal had a '17' forged into the shank of the pedal. It is longer from the pedal pad to the elbow than the previous version and its pad does not quite line up with the clutch pedal pad. My late phaeton has a 68-2455-A brake pedal.

Thanks David, I can only dream, that my 36 will look as good as yours. But I keep on plugging away.

I believe that the " M " on the brake pedal is from the pedal manufacturer, Moore Drop Forging.
