40 2 door window felts, channel,rubber ???
 

Any one have any recomendations for window channel, felt, rubber vent window kits. Are STEELE RUBBER PRODUCTS, DRAKE, DENNIS CARPENTER products all the same or is one of better quality? I will be purchasing the kits for my 40 2 door sedan and would like to know your experiance or who I should steer away from. Thank you in advance.

So if you were looking for the best quality, it seems from my experience with that vendor that you maybe limited to a marginal product> Maybe some members will relate a have a different experience to share.

I have used Vintique, in fact, quite recently. They are I believe the only option.
Decent quality overall, great quality for Vintique.

Drake seems usually highest in price, but their quality is usually best. I've seen their logo on some of my '40 seals, which tells me they must be their own source.
I've not tried Steele, but was impressed when after my inquiry, they sent me a catalog containing only '40 Ford products.

The window channel kits are supplied by Vintique to most if not all V-8 retailers. I get the rubber seals from Drake if they are in stock.

I used Bob Drake wing vent rubber and lever kits along with D.C. window channel kits on my present '40 coupe build with no issues. The Bob Drake parts were bought many years ago, while the D.C. parts were purchased last year.
