Brake Switch Wiring Connection 1 Attachment(s)
The original brake switch on my 49 F1 finally no longer works. In this original switch the prongs have a hole for the wires and grub screws to fasten them.
On this replacement switch how are the wires fastened to the prongs? There are no threaded screws or holes, only 2 grooves in each of the prongs. Thanks in advance. |
Re: Brake Switch Wiring Connection You should be able to get some solder-less connectors that you can crimp onto the ends of the wires. Then push them onto the switch.

Re: Brake Switch Wiring Connection They're called bullet connectors. Usually, the wires have male ends attached and connect together via a female 'tube' connector. Now you can also just get a female connector type. This is what you need. Commonly available.
