40 coupe seat
 

Anyone have pictures of a bare 40 coupe folding back seat? I bought one but now I'm having doubts?

Are you referring to the 40 coupe front bench seat with the back that lifts up?

I'm referring to the split back coupe seat. I'd like some pictures of the bare seat without upholstery. I currently have a seat like in the picture above in my coupe but am trying to put a split back seat in my coupe for easier access behind the seat. I bought a seat today but am having doubts it's the right seat?????????

Did the seller tell you what it came out of ? I swapped out the lift back seat in the '40 coupe for a tudor seat. If you can post a picture of the frame I might recognize it as I stripped it to re-upholster it in leather.

i bought a split back from a guy here in pasadena ca. that came out of his sedan delivery that i plan to put in to my 40 coupe. problem is it's all wrapped up for storage till i can get to it. the back of it has a carpeted foot rest that while very nice, i wondered if it was out of a 4 door.

post some photos especially the seat adjuster handle and the area between the backrest where the backrest pivot. Are the foot rest included?

I saw the seat he's questioning... it is NOT a '39 nor a '40 seat. No how, now way - not even close.

Went to a collector today and found the proper seat for a fair price and returned the wrong seat. Everything's cool.

If it's the split back seat with footrests it's from a tudor sedan. It will work in your coupe. Just remove the foot rests and it will bolt right in. The fordor seat had a solid back.
