No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? I need some vinyl for my 41 woodie as well as matching hidem and some windlace for the 41. My 41 interior came from LB but a spring poked thru the back of the 3rd seat and the idiot upholsterers screwed up the windlace. Where can I get it now? Side curtain posts for my 37 woodie?
LB charged my credit card for the material March 5 and never shipped. I still need the stuff. |
Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? Here are a couple suggestions.
Side curtain posts can be obtained from Roy Nacewicz Enterprises http://fordscript.com/ As for the credit card charges, if you file a formal complaint with your credit card company, as part of consumer protection regulations, they should refund you money. Hope this helps. Regards Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

For what it's worth, I called Cartouche this AM. I had a long conversation with a man named Dave. He was aware of LeBaron Bonney's bankruptcy. He said they are gearing up for increased business. I inquired about kits for my current projects, a '34 Victoria and '34 2 Dr sedan. He told me they do not have patterns for the Victoria but can supply complete a complete kit for my 2-Dr sedan. Since I have some of the kit for my Victoria I asked about materials. He said they buy they material from the same places LeBaron Bonney did and should be able to supply what I need to complete the interior. He is sending fabric samples and a catalog. That being said, I have no idea about quality of the materials or quality of the workmanship. That is to be determined. The price for the complete kit was considerably less than what I paid L/B. I also paid by credit card but was told by Visa that it is doubtful that I can recover any of my deposits back since the orders were close to a year old. Think positive, somehow I think someone will be able to fill the void left by the closing of LeBaron Bonney. |
Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? at the very least Cartouche is trying. I knew that LB was having bad problems over a year ago, I had ordered a kit for a 40 wagon and the ship date kept being pushed back and the attitude of the employees were horrible-I vowed then I would never do business with them again. If you are located anywhere around Greenville, SC there is a small shop that just did the doors panels in a 40 coupe for me and they look really good.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? Folks I work part time for that restores Model As also spoke with Dave at Cartouche yesterday and are ordering 2 kits from them. They intended to go with Cartouche even before hearing of the LB bankruptcy because of several issues over the past few months with LB.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? The Cartouche stuff I have used was very high quality. My job involved only materials for others to install.
|
Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? Hmmm. Wonder how this will affect Cartouche's prices?

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? If you have deposits in LB made by a credit card and the CC company cannot reverse the charge you will have to file a claim with the bankruptcy court. Same with a cash deposit. See the other post on the LB bankruptcy for the court info.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? How does one file a claim ?

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? There's case reference listed on the other thread on this topic. You can file on line through the federal bankruptcy court for Massachusetts.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? Will do, thank you David.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? The case number is Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court Case 1:19-bk-10856 - LeBaron Bonney.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? I ordered a full kit for my 1932 Victoria last year. I havent installed it yet, I hope it fits. The workmanship on the carpet is very poor, I was surprised! They sent me a pattern for the front carpet & header panel for a Model A ???? I guess Iam lucky compared to some of you guy's !@#$%!@#$%

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? I've done a lot of business with SMS. They supply most of the fabric for the vendors.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? SMS? It took nine months for them to reply to request to match a vinyl sample that I sent them. When they did reply, what they provided wasn't even remotely close plus they did not do me the courtesy of returning that which I sent them. Some customer service!

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? For what it's worth.....I ordered a headliner from Cartouche for my coupe and it fit perfectly.

Call the customer service toll free number on the back of your card. Most customer service call centers are in the Philippines so you may have a little trouble communicating but tell them you are disputing a charge made on your card. They can find it quickly on their end and credit it back to your account. |
Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? I don't know about other cards but the people at Visa told me that since the transcation was close to a year old there is nothing they can do. Federal statutes limit the time frame to 60 days from the date of the transaction even thugh the transaction was never completed.

Re: No Lebaron Bonney, now where do I order? You file the claim with the bankruptcy court, not your credit card provider unless it is a recent transaction. Using the case number shown in #12 above, you can file your claim on line with the Massachusetts branch of the federal bankruptcy court.
