Did the 30,31 pickups come with rear bumpers or where rear bumpers an option?

Some owners put passenger car bumpers on pickups, but they will not extend to the end of the box unless the brackets are lengthened.

Picture of a rear bumper on my late 30 CCPU, does not extend past the box and blocks the view of the license plate. Put on a long time ago by a previous owner. Will be putting the plate elsewhere next summer.
