Inner fenders-big truck

2 Attachment(s)
Sorting out my sheet metal I found 4 pair of inner fenders.
first photo shows them lined up with two high-lighted areas.

The 1st and 3rd set have a spherical bump on the pointed
edge versus the 2nd and 4th which are smooth.

The second photo shows the upper front corner, they are lined
up in order,1st,3rd,2nd from the first photo. The lengths are the
same but the 1st has a longer upper corner. The other two are
different as the 3rd has a separate piece attached to finish off
the corner.

These are all supposed to be 35-37 truck. Any information or
explanation would be welcome.

BTW,the 5th pair are pickup.

I believe that the one on the bottom in the right hand picture is a 37 and the other is a 35/6. The 37 model year inner is not the same as the 35/6 half-tons and I suspect they would not be the same on the truck, either.

The shape of the front of the 1937 inner fenders is a bit longer to accommodate the 1937 grille, the right side has a small blister at the rear for the battery tray drain to exit the engine compartment. Both 1935-36 and 1937 1/2 ton have the same frame mounting holes, big truck would be different due to the different frame.

Thanks guys, Photo below shows the 37' with the drain hose hole.

Now, the 37' in the 2nd photo is yellow, both in this photo have the
spherical bulge on the lower/front end.
All 5 of my trucks came to me with no front sheet metal,
rusted sheet metal or sheet metal piled in the cab.
I have placed these against the frames of several and can't figure
out what that bulge is for.

I went to see a guys 35' truck about 40 miles from here.
I found that his inner fenders match the pattern of the
3rd inner fender in this photo.

The one in front(lt.blue) has been identified as a 37' and I believe
that the one in the center is most likely late 35' or 36', it
has the spherical bulge as does the 37'.

The only thing I can think of for the bulge is for more clearance
around the radiator mounting bolts and springs.
I won't know for sure until I start assembling the front end on
the 37' in the spring.
