Cab to frame pads or felt questions

I am getting close to assembly of my 1939 Pickup.
Does it take felt or rubber pads between the frame and frame boards?
Or does it belong between the cab and frame boards.
Same question for the bed.

Dan, My '39 has wood base on cab and bed.
