Re: Heders It sure would help if you could post some pictures (especially of the part number on the casting).
|
Re: Heders You have to consider that they may be Ford headers that someone had chrome plated at some point in time. (wouldn't be the first time)

Re: Heders Ford made headers? I did not know that; now I sure would like to see some pictures. (I am differentiating between "headers" and "exhaust manifolds" here.)

Re: Heders Ford made high flow exhaust systems that sort of resemble headers but not in the flathead era. It was much later in the late 50s early 60s and they were generally cast iron. I'd be wanting to know what the part number on them is. Ford has a distinct numbering system for early cars up to about 1952 when they changed their prefixes to better suit the larger amount of models in the later era.

Re: Heders Fenton made several models to fit a wide range of years. Those models had different part numbers cast onto them.
Reproduction Fenton headers, made by Fenton, and others, come in only one model, and don't use part numbers. I don't know if all production Fenton headers had the Fenton logo on the castings. |
Re: Heders Thanks for all the replys will take pictures of the numbers they installed on a296 cubic. inch c 69 a engine will have to put on lift to get pitchers thanks norm
