The frame was stamped with the engine number as the engine was put into the frame. So...the frame number should coincide with the same engine numbering month and date from the engine number charts.

If you have the frame number, you have the original engine number. The engine number reference page will enable you to approximately date the frame by that number.

Were the Frames and engines numbered on the same day? Or at their respective assembly? My engine number is not the same as the chassis number, which is the same as the title. Engine switch? Or they never did match?

The engine number was stamped onto the frame after the engine was dropped into the frame, so your engine has been swapped sometime since the car was built.

Engines were stamped with the engine number the day they were assembled. They might go directly to the vehicle assembly line at Dearborn or they might be shipped to one of the many other Ford assembly plants. When the engine was mated to a chassis, the frame was stamped with the engine number. Over the decades since engines were often replaced the two numbers no longer match. In most cases the number on the frame should be the serial number for title purposes. A rule of thumb is that engines went into a chassis within about three months or less of the engine manufacture.
