Under Body Cowl Part ID Question

1 Attachment(s)
Just pulled the cowl panels off my Roadster firewall and sub frame. I'll be installing new full panels from Brookville. What do you call the section I have in red primer? I would think all A's use this section to attach the lower edge of the cowl panel.

I forget what that bracket is called, but I am pretty sure it is available as a repro.
Had I realized that when I did my cowl patch panels, I probably would have replaced mine.

Bob, that is the Subrail Extension stringer brace that will come as a part of the A-132-EXB set you will also need with the body channel kit.

I will tell you that we often fabricate them out of 16 gauge sheetmetal and a brake when they are rust damaged on a customer's car which is only getting cowl patch panels. We don't make them exactly as Ford did since they are hidden.

One other thing I should point out is in the Body Cross Channels, you will find they do not come dimpled for the D-nuts. We actually had to make a die to be able to put those in with.
