Fixing 32 door lock

I really like 32 locks and handles. The ignition switch and trunk locks were used more years but not the door locks. I bought a lock that had the disk in the end pulled out but it was included. This allowed me to make a replacement for that lock and also one for my 3W which had a 48 lock. I took measurements from the disk and made two. One is on the 3W. Maybe others would have locks needing the disk and would try making some. The little screws are 1-72 x 3/8. The drawings are crude and not to scale. The replacments fixed the locks and work fine.

A very nice solution! I also have a 32 lock with a broken off tit and you've inspired me to take a crack at repairing it - thanks! I got the original Ford drawing for that part some time ago but didn't proceed any further with the project.

Doesn't the drive to the door latch mechanism have to pivot slightly due to slight mis-alignment between the cylinder case and the latch? The drive is also square like the 48 cylinder. I guess your going to machine the round shaft to square.

It wobbles like the stock one. There is clearance all around. I was intent on making a lock for the 3W so I knew I would be welding a long extension to the stub. I need to fix the disk with a short shaft so it could fit other body styles. I need to update the lead post with some shaft details.
