Mystery Flathead Cam
 

I just pulled this cam out of the 'spare' motor that I got with my time-capsule 1950s Drag Coupster which I have a thread for over on the HAMB. We are calling this the spare motor for the car, as it came from the same place, however it was built, but obviously never run, as everything inside of it was new and still covered in assembly lube.

The cam itself is ground on a factory Ford 5-T billet, but when I took it into Delta Camshaft today to get measured, it doesn't match anything in their books...

They seem to think that it was a custom Blower or Alcohol grind, as it has non-earthshattering duration or lift, but a wild lobe separation angle.

If you can't read the report in the picture, here's what it came out at:

Intake Duration: 224 @ 0.050"
Exhaust Duration: 224 @ 0.050"
Intake Lift: 366
Exhaust Lift: 376
Lobe Sep Angle: 119-degrees
Overlap: 15.4-degrees

Have any of the Flathead gurus in the Ford Barn seen this cam or something like it?

Oh, and to shed a little light on the engine that this thing acme out of...

Offset Ground 4 1/8" Crank
3 3/16 Bore with Domed Pistons
Ported and Relieved "59" Block
No heads, intake, or accessories, but the motor in the car had 8:1 Edelbrock Heads, 3-2bbl Evans Intake, and a Harman & Collins Magneto
