Put the door handles back on... The one time I had experience with door "poppers" they used a solenoid like found on bosch VW starters. The early 60s VWs were 6 volts so I am sure you can get 6 volt solenoids.

If you want information on unlockers check with an auto stereo installer, they do that work also.

What up with the model A and the 56? in the barn? I was kidding about the handles. Not so much about the solenoids. I used an aftermarket alarm with door unlock remote to activate a relay running the solenoids.

Given that you live in Minnesota, how much 'Bondo' do you think is in that car?....

Re: 1951 ford coupe

yep when they work good they are nice had one in a 1953 2 door sedan with a flathead nice driving car

I need to find a way to get in the car if I forget to unlock the vent window

tubman 03-08-2017 12:31 AM

Re: 1951 ford coupe

Leave both of the vents unlatched; that way, you have a backup "Entrance System".
