1951 ford coupe 2 Attachment(s)
friend of mine let me barrow his 1951 ford coupe for the summer if I like it I can buy it
but he bought it with shaved door handles do they make un locker for 6 volts like they do for 12 volts if I for get to leave the vent window unlocked I cant get in couple pics of the car |
Re: 1951 ford coupe Put the door handles back on... The one time I had experience with door "poppers" they used a solenoid like found on bosch VW starters. The early 60s VWs were 6 volts so I am sure you can get 6 volt solenoids.

Re: 1951 ford coupe it is not my car to put a handle back on
|
Re: 1951 ford coupe If you want information on unlockers check with an auto stereo installer, they do that work also.

Re: 1951 ford coupe That ain't a coupe; it's a tudor sedan with funky back windows.

I was just getting ready to say that too. Sal |
Re: 1951 ford coupe What up with the model A and the 56? in the barn? I was kidding about the handles. Not so much about the solenoids. I used an aftermarket alarm with door unlock remote to activate a relay running the solenoids.

there is rust there is mud in the so what it is not 15000.00 dollar car maybe 5000.00 or so |
Re: 1951 ford coupe yep when they work good they are nice had one in a 1953 2 door sedan with a flathead nice driving car
I need to find a way to get in the car if I forget to unlock the vent window |
Re: 1951 ford coupe Leave both of the vents unlatched; that way, you have a backup "Entrance System".
