Found 1935 Tudor need some help Hi Guys!
I was looking online and found a 1935 Tudor two door coupe. the seller saids That it starts,runs & stops. He went on to say he got it as a parts car. Its missing the hood, the dash, and glass, and seats. So its pretty much a running gear and body. I wanted to know. If for one if there as good as any other two door coupe. Also how hard are parts to find and for a car in this shape is it worth. It has a windshield.. also no title. And Henry Ford black. Thanks guy! P.S I know photos help. If we are talking '35 Coupe, it will have two doors, a hard top, and no back seat. Those are some of the more desirable models and bring higher prices from buyers. If it has a back seat and a hard top, it's a Sedan, which came with two doors and a split front seat (Tudor) and four doors with a solid front seat (Fordor), but always a back seat. With the Sedans, it could have a trunk (humpback) or not (flat or slantback). Just me but the no title thing would be a pretty big speed bump. |

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help No titles in Michigan mean a huge headache now. The title once you get it will be bonded. I pass on cars now that have no title regardless of I really like it.

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help Different states have much different rules/laws, which make buying cars from other states a PITA. For example, NYS won't register a car as a "coupe". They will only list it as a "sedan". Also, no titles pre-1972.

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help The few parts that you need are not that hard to find. The 35 and 36 dash are same. You can find more than one on the Hamb and e-bay .The hoods and grills are different.You can convert to the 36 look using that
hood and grill which are also available as above. I have a 35 5w coupe. A 35 3window coupe is considered more valuable by many but I like my 5 |

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help If a person has a hankering for a particular year model and they know they are going to get one before they kick the bucket come hell or high water, they can justify whatever part or parts will get them toward their goal as long as the price doesn't break the bank and they have a place to store the stuff. A running engine is a good investment if it's still at least a good core. A decent frame with a title might turn up and there ya go. You can never have too many parts for an old car.
Ownership can generally always be established through a local judge or magistrate if you know one. I've seen more than a few cars, motorcycles, and aircraft change hands this way with no paperwork at all. I've heard of more than one guy starting out with one part to get to their goal of a completed vehicle My pops first car was a 1935 Ford flat back tudor sedan. |
Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help If its priced right and say the frame is nice, there are plenty of ok shape cars out there with titles with a bad frame. Lots of ways to look at it. Bought plenty of donor cars that ended up being better then the original project. The green 37 to the left was passed over by a couple people that said it was junk. In less then a year i was driving it

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help There's way too many facts missing to even hazard a guess on this one. Missing the title can be a real pain in certain states and not a problem in other states. If it was on a property for a certain amount of time it can be titled via a lien sale. A person could also file for a lost title. Bottom line is it worth it for the trouble?

Re: Found 1935 Tudor need some help a title in minnesota is the least of my worries thanks goodness, but other states can be a big problem i understand. however, in any state its just a few more hoops to jump thru, and a couple more dollars. bonds are nothing, again just another hundred bucks for the big shot insurance companys, and its for a 3 year period which you can sell if you wish. it means nothing to me
