More Bubba Info .

Most of you know we are more than a little busy doing ignition. When a order comes in either by phone, internet or UPS, its logged into our computer that makes it a order.
Two years ago (when i had more part time help) we shipped 400 orders most of which was flathead Ford units. Last year we did 300 and looks like this year it will be over 250 as well.
When i left work today there were 32 orders in the computer and a few that are on the bench no entered in the system as of yet.
I plan on going to Fla for the month of November so that gives me about six weeks to get the all done by year end.
So we have quit taking any new work until first of the year...

Also i plan on moving the ignition business to my shop at home and doing just the Flathead stuff with a Mallory or racing unit every now and then. We will continue building the chevrolet conversions but will only take future orders when we have them in stock after Jan 1st.
If you are in the system we will do every thing possible to get you done by year end. I just ask that you bear with us and be patient.
Use my email [email protected] for discussion etc.:)

While the Team at Bubba's takes a well deserved break, who are a few other members/vendors s that can rebuild a distributor and coil for a 35?

Thanks
Nick

Nick I have had several distributors done by Bubba & they are a show piece , I have also had a couple done by Skip Haney & he has done several coils for me , his work is first class also .
I highly recommend either.
Cheers
Tony...

I would send the coil to Skip, but I believe it would be worth the wait to have your distributor done @ Bubba's. Just mark it on your calendar so you get in line early.

The Bubbas team must be busy. Our first distributor we ordered 2 years ago arrived very promptly in approx 1 month , works perfect .
The next two are a YL flat cap and an early Mallory we got delivered to Bubbas at the end of March this year, well the flat cap was purchased from Jim at his pre Easter sale. So the back log must be huge now. But I am patient for quality . Thanks for the great work .

Thanks for the kind comments. Backlog is unreal and someone is screaming all the time.
I got your other tach drive done and tested today!!!
Nice pair of rare flatheads for sure. One is a marine flatcap machined for the flathead , uses the crab cap.
The other is a mag spark tach drive machined for the flathead as well!! The first one is electronic and the other is a dual point , all new ready to run....

PM me with shipping details etc and we wil ship them out next week,,,,,

Your patients are in the emergency room. The old cast iron one is in intensive care and the other is resting peacefully awaiting tear down. We will do everything possible to save the patient(Cast iron), lots of rust and a few missing parts etc. Will advise tomorrow , left my camera at home today.....may need a few transplants before we are done....:eek::confused::)

Yay, thanks very much Jim, can't wait to get these beauties home and put them to use, the early tach drive will be seen by all as it will be in a hiboy hood less 32 3W wearing the Bubba logo with pride.

Man this cast unit looked like it had been in a farm pond for the last 30 years or so!! BUT cast iron clean up really well and the advance units are made out of quality steel from years ago. Some serious surgery looks and test very well. Will finish restoration on a flatcap distributor cap tomorrow....
22 degrees at 2000 rpm = perfect.............Add eight on the balancer and away we go , they love 30 degrees!!!!!!!!
