Re: The show at Gettysburg PA stangblue,
Nice photographs. but since I am not signed up for Facebook and do not want to sign up for Facebook, I can only see a couple of photos in each of your links. Could you post your pictures directly to Ford Barn? |
Re: The show at Gettysburg PA Very good pictures, and a great show,Thanks to all involved
|
Re: The show at Gettysburg PA We tried to put on a great show and I hope everyone was satisfied. I am sure everyone that was at the welcome party had a good time seeing Ruby, the Lady Roman puppet.
|
Re: The show at Gettysburg PA Steve/IL I have 30 pictures maximum per link regulated by facebook. How many do you see per link. Too post 150 pictures on Ford Barn would be very time consuming. Unless you know of a faster way to do it. Pictures don't do it justice as being there in person. It was a beautiful day and well organized event with great people.

Cecil One women ask me if this was a Senior Center Convention. I said yes it is. Do you want to join? I will think about it she said. I told her to see you to sign up. Then she ask why all those old cars? Lady we are doing the best we can. Plus they all run. She never did know what was going on. As she walk off she just shook her head. Maybe she felt sorry for us?

These pictures were copied from the Facebook Link. It is interesting to see so many cars with Blackwall Tyres. Is this the new trend with todays Restorer? |
Re: The show at Gettysburg PA @MermanfromOz
Don't know about trend setting BUT for my two cents worth its a VERY welcome sight! For me IMO...one way to KILL a Ford V8 with wire wheels is to add white wall Tires and Double so on early Pick ups, sedan deliveries and panel trucks!!!! Keep it up if it is a trend |

Re: The show at Gettysburg PA Besides the fact that they are easier to keep clean, and not so prone to curb damage, I also like the Black Tyres on these old Fords. They just look right.

Re: The show at Gettysburg PA @Jm35Sedan
Not sure if the all black sedan is yours, I'm gonna try Wayne Carini's dad's ole trick (Chasing Classic Car Fame) and paint a silver pin stripe around the outer edge of the tire on the side wall about an 1/2" to 3/4" inside of where the tread pattern starts on the sidewall. He did it on his 33 Lincoln and it looks "killer", especially on a all black car!!!! |
Re: The show at Gettysburg PA JM 35 Sedan. I began to question myself also as too how many people could afford a new car no less with white wall tires during the Great Depression. Oh maybe Joan Crawford I forgot.:-))
