Question, tire tubes
 

Anyone know about the quality of tire tubes sold by venders today, such as, Bratton's or Snyder's ?

Or, should I use those for motorcycles.

I buy mine from brattons they have them made off shore but to their specs... I have not had any issues or abnormal pressure loss. You won't go wrong getting them

The old Sears tires just won't wear out, but, I'm not trusting the tubes now.

I just installed 4, 19" tubes from Bratton's. Nice quality looking tubes.

bought some that "drip" out air over time and boy is it annoying!

Why not trust the tubes?

They should survive much longer than tires.

You would think. But. There is one valve that I can't get to seal up, slow leak. And 2 stems that I don't like the looks or feel of. Right now, peace of mind.

It's a good time to install metal stems. They also add to the good looks of the car.

Put me down for another vote for the Bratton's tubes.

Also, ironically I was just having a conversation about changing to metal stems should the rubber ones fail.

Bratton's imports from China real rubber tubes and are the only real rubber tubes available on the market. Sadly they are China but Jeff at Brattons explained that that is the only place in the world he can locate all rubber inner tubes. I have purchased a set and cut off the rubber stem and installed original valve stems and they seem to be holding up well. I think any inner tube is going to loose air over time but these seem to do as good as any. Back in my Model A beginnings a friend in St Louis(Willis Schwendt) worked at Cupples Rubber and they made all rubber tubes but those days are long gone. Only alternative left are those from Bratton's is my opinion. Good luck.

One can also buy the same quality tubes from Brattons with the metal stems already installed

I have purchased 2 sets (of 6) tubes from Snyder's. They are metal stem tubes. I've had one set for about 18 months, the other for about 5 months. I don't recall inspecting the country of origin on the tubes I purchased. Snyder's website claims 'USA.'

So far, no issues with those I have (knock on wood). Well, to be exact, I notice that after about 1 month some will drop pressure from 35psi to ~25psi; I don't know whether that counts as 'an issue.'
