Mallory Disturbutor 4 banger
 

I've heard the expression that Model A,s really come to life when a Mallory Disturbutor is installed .
What does that rally mean , what can someone expect if someone would install a Mallory on a 4 banger that is currently in good operating order ...

Does the word performance come to play ....

It merely advances the timing AUTOMATICALLY & makes for smooth proper operation. It's a GREAT add on, but not MAGIC.

With a stock or nearly stock engine you will see little or no improvement. In a hotter engine with high compression, the Mallory will provide a hotter spark than a stock ignition due to more dwell time for the coil, and could be the difference between a good running engine and one that misfires.
