My rear main is leaking like a sieve. It also had a crack in the water jacket so I built another short block. Rebuilding the bell housing as well. My goal is to not be able to tell I did anything. I am trying not to disturb any grease or really clean up anything too much. I love working on this car! It's nice to be able leave it dirty! Every other car I have I don't want to touch because I might scratch it or get it dirty. This little '28 is by far the most fun car I own. Every one loves it! People really like the patina.

Marc,
Is that the old or new motor, in the picture?
Is the one that you removed the original motor to the car?
I've seen many pictures of your 28 on the MAFCA website. It's nice to see that you use it often. I like the patina too.
Please post a picture of the newer motor in your car when it's back on the road.
Regards, Neil

The block is not original however everything else is. The head, generator dipstick oil fill tube, distributor etc. it still has the multi disc clutch as well.

I love your coupe, Marc and totally agree. Shiny isn't all it's cracked up to be :)

Beautiful originality! The fit looks so good everywhere. Once you have built a car, you really appreciate a car whose components fit well.

To All,
I have an all original midyear 28 Roadster. I love the patina of the original cars. It has the original Top and interior
