Model A Front Seats:
 

How, and where, do the two cups that come with the seat hardware kit from Snyder's attach to the Seat? The previous owner had carriage bolts threaded to the bottom corners of the seat, up into the wood. I removed these and installed the cups with wood screws,(which do not come with the kit), into the wood of the seat bottom. Now the seat tilts way to far back. What am I missing? I used the 2" offset legs from Snyder's also, but that should have nothing to do with it. Any Idea's? Thanks, Marv

What kind of car are you working on. And what year and body style will help. Front or back??

1931 Tudor Sedan, Original stock Front seats.

If they are what I think they are, they should install on the back corners of the seat bottoms.

The cups / feet are held in place with slot headed machine type screws that thread into a nut which is secured in the wood seat frame. Yes they angle back once attached to the front seat pivot feet... I am not sure I answered your question

The stock setup tilts too far back for me too.I have to raise the back up about 1-1/2 inches for me to be comfortable.At first I thought it was just my worn out seats,but I've tried quite a few,and none were comfortable for me.

I've raised my front seat and moved it to the rear about 6". I also had to put something under the back to raise it (even before I raised it).

I have the same problem. The car is now stripped out for new autopstry. I tried the 11/2" on the back but that put me in launch mode. How did you move the seat back?

Thanks to all who replied. I may just cut out some wood block's and attach to the seat bottom and then screw the cups to the blocks, in order to tilt the seat up more. I was hoping to avoid the dents the cups make in the carpet.

This is how my 1929 Tudor seats are set up, and I have owned this car for 55 years and am only the second owner, so I'm pretty sure it's the way it came from the factory. Maybe 30-31's are different? Or is the tilt different from what you all are experiencing?

That is exactly the way mine are now after I installed the seat kits. The previous owner had them setting much higher with the carriage bolts. Thanks for the info.

anyone know the difference between model a tudor sedan front seats and 1932 Ford tudor sedan front seats?

I have a 30 tudor, I put a 3/4"x 1 1/2" pvc spacer and a longer bolt between the rear legs and the seat to make it comfortable. I think one of the supliers make a taller leg. the 2" set back front mounts helped also.
