1934 V8 engine

City: Midland Park
State: NJ
Price: reduced

1934 V8. 21 Stud. There are no casting marks on the block that I can see. Consists of block, crankshaft, cam and valve train, partial distributor, front cover, exhaust manifolds, and clutch assembly. No pan, heads or pistons.. This came out of a truck (size unknown) as it had a truck trans attached. I know nothing about the real early V8's so if the engine is not what I have been told let me know.

Cylinders and crank are rusty but not scaley rusty. Outside of block is covered in oily dirt as is the valve valley and outside of block looks to be in reasonable condition as far as rust goes. All bolts are free, don't know about studs. Did not try main bearing bolts. The intake manifold bolts are included as shown. Engine was stored for a short time outside uncovered. Other than the above, I know nothing about the condition of the engine.. Sold as is.

Posted are a few pics that I took. Additional pictures are available.

Asking $150.00 Pick up is a must. Trans is available, has PTO. PM or email me for pics of either trans or additional engine pics. Include your email address.

Drain valves, dipstick and front mounts are gone. Price reduced to 100.00

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks to the Barners here I have been able to identify the engine as a 1934. It has the cavity on both sides of the timing cover, the angle drain cocks. One mentioned that the dipstick is 34. No front vent tube. Below are some additional pics.

The drain cocks turn ok. While examining it I tightened the nuts on the head studs and when i went to loosen them the studs came out without any strain. I can't say they all will do that.

Does any one know how I can change the heading?

Price reduced further. See main ad. I got to make room so this is going to the scrap heap if no one wants it. Must pick up.
