36 waterfall again Here are a few pictures of the dash in my coupe you can see the type of bezel/knob that I am looking for on the Ign. sw. the headlamp sw. and the ash tray. I am looking for something for the hole that was used for the choke. maybe a power port of sorts, maybe a cigarette lighter with the same style knob if I can find a source. I can then use it to keep a cell ph. charged or use it for a GPS unit. I don't need a choke. any help appreciated.----Jim

Re: 36 waterfall again there should be 4 holes....the open hole is for the cigar lighter, so maybe you could run a lighter there as you wish.....top left hole was for dash lights.....bottom holes for throttle and choke, left to right....Mike

Re: 36 waterfall again Those look similar to the ones that SoCal sells, check with them or maybe Bob Drake. He had some that were similar. I have a headlight switch like that on my 36 dash in a 30 coupe, only my light switch knob is anodized dark brown.
Kinda styled after a 40 coupe dash knob. Of course I've been trying to get a matching choke knob for mine that's in Bobs catalog. I know you won't believe this, but it's been back ordered for two years. |
Re: 36 waterfall again hmmm....thot i had posted a link before....here's another to epay.....searched under "custom dash knobs".....other link was to amazon.....if you look under "custom dash knobs" on epay, you can see the one i linked to on amazon.....few auctions below the link below.....good luck.....Mike

I used '49 Ford style knobs on my '36 coupe, then used '49 Ford door handles to carry the theme off..
From the attached pix you will note that my dash is chromed.. That was the hot setup in the mid '50's.. |
