splash shield to running board fitting??
 

im putting togather my 1930 deluxe coupe. i have new running boards and im using my orignal splash shields. how do the splash shields attach to the long part of the running board?

The 30 had a one piece runningboard/splash shield. I dont know how you are going to attach the splash shield, which I presume has been cut from the running board, to the runningboard. If your 30 is a late 30, with the long splash shield and separate running board, then the running board just sits in the U channel of the splash shield. I bet that sounds confusing.

I have the front and rear fenders mounted and they fit pretty well. the problem now is that the rear fenders where they meet the rear of the running board are not correct. the fenders are .5 inches narrower. now what???

Any ideas? new fenders and running boards but the rear fenders are narrower than the boards

is there welting or something that goes between the splash shield nose piece and the fender?

there is welting between the apron and fender, but i am pretty sure the fender should be as wide as the runningboard. where are the fenders from?
