looking for USA made headers any suggestions

Can anyone recommend a USA maid set of headers for a 49 to 51 Ford v8 3 speed car. I just got off the phone with Reds headers and they said they won't have any until September/October. Thanks

I dont think Fentons fit a Shoebox. Do you have to have headers? Shoebox- central has dual exhaust manifolds and I believe Waldron's can make pipes or maybe a local muffler shop. Red's told me the same thing approx. 2 yrs. ago. I wouldn't wait without looking else where in the meantime....... MARK

Reds is worth the wait. To borrow a phrase from Bob Drake, "made right, fits right"

I have Fentons on my stock '51. Been on there 28 years with no problems. IIRC, a grinder and new motor mounts help, but it was a long time ago. But they are unnecessary on a flathead as they don't help because of all the convolutions the exhaust gases have to go through just to get to the exhaust port. They do look and sound great though, and I'm glad I have 'em. I have had bad experiences with tube headers. I may be wrong, but I'll bet nobody makes a set that will last 28 years.

Give Red's Headers a call. They have custom fit headers for every
Combination of engine and car.

What you don't understand is that RED's hasn't been able to keep any QUALITY welders employed........hence, NO Red's headers have been available. All that hope and change for small businesses like Red's! DD

I guess it would be tough to compete with the nukes for welders, paywise.

Thanks for the help. I may have an alternate solution I was browsing different web sites looking for a set of headers and found a drivers side exhaust manifold on Bob Drake's website. I have a manifold that looks just like it except it says Los Angeles California SM - 59. I was planning on using it on a 36 Ford pickup truck project. But maybe it will be better suited for the 50 ford does anyone know who made these and are they for 49-51 for fords?
